7/1/2026 Floods continues to squash bugs and upgrade the user interface so it’s easier to use the web app.
We are back up and running with minimal bugs as we integrate data. (Updated: 6/10/2026)
5/30/2026 – Floods TV will be up within the next couple of weeks. We are rebuilding the server.

Direct messages and following/unfollowing remains disabled as we work to expand the moderation team.
Always Privacy First
Some users prefer a solo social media experience and that’s okay. Floods will not push unnecessary friend suggestions unless you want to connect with them on your own terms.
We’re Community Moderated
We get it, each community is different and people want full autonomy. As long as community Presidents enforce Floods Term and Conditions, they may create as many or little bylaws as they please.
And Connect by Interest
Floods lets users find things they have in common with others through community-moderated spaces called shores. Giving more space for posting, and less room for worrying about where algorithm will place your content.
A Platform for Everyone
The problem with platforms like X, Facebook, and YouTube is that they directly enable and promote hate, by not removing it on their websites. Floods takes personal attacks on people, countries, and ethnic groups seriously and will take steps to make sure everyone feels safe when interacting with one another.
